You're listening to the curate your life podcast with Temetria. Episode 97. Keep going.
TemetriaHi, I'm Temetria a single woman in midlife. But not quite ready for the Moomoo life. I'm focused on curating a life that I love. A life that is bold and vibrant and full of purpose. And I'm passionate about helping other women do the same. So join me. If you're ready to create curate a big, bold, beautiful life that you love.
Hi, y'all. Okay. So. This is episode 97. We're coming up on episode 100. And today I want to talk to you about. Keeping. Going keep going. Keep on trucking if you're a child of the seventies, And this came up for me today because I recorded a podcast with a fellow coach and mentor. Earlier today. We were talking about the curate your life process. And if you've been here before, you know, it's three steps, paint the picture of your vision. Eliminate or get rid of the things that don't fit that vision and then bring in the things that will. Create that vision or enhance that vision. Those are the three simple steps, right? So we were talking about that and we talked about how I have used this process. In my life to curate the life that I want. And how it's ongoing. We were talking about the process and different examples of it. And she asked me like, coaches, do they ask you that question that makes you think. She's she asked me the question. Where in your life are you still using this process? Are you still curating? And the answer was everywhere in my life. I am still working on. Getting to my dream home or condo. I'm still working on building this business to the level that I wanted to be. I'm still working on all of those things. I'm still working on finding the relationship that I want. So curating your life is it is an ongoing process. You're building, you're creating, you're pulling in things and eliminating things to get to that vision that you have. So it's rare that it's three steps and you're done. Boom, boom, boom. So there are three steps, but you will have to repeat some of the steps. And that's where I am. I am. I have the vision. I review it from time to time to make sure it is still the vision. And it does still resonate with me and it still fits what I want in my life, but I have the vision. And so now it's repeating the steps of eliminating or not allowing the things that will take away from that vision or conflict with it or to attract. Not allowing those things and making sure that I'm doing more, uh, bringing in more of the things that will create that vision. And I'm repeating those two steps. On an ongoing basis until I get to the place that I want to be. So that's the curate your life process. And so then it's a matter of not stopping, right. And that's how you get to. The goals that you set, how you achieve those goals. You don't stop. You continue to figure out the obstacle that's in your way. You continue to figure out how to do the next thing. If you don't know how to do the next thing, you continue to work through the doubt that comes up. If there's doubt. You continue to work through fear that comes up when there's fear, you don't let those things stop. You. You addressed them, you overcome those challenges. And you keep going in. That is when you will get to the place where you want to be. That's when you will have the life that you want to have, that's when you will have achieved that goal. So it was just interesting. When we were talking about that, she asked that question, I'm like, oh, I'm still in it everywhere. I'm still using this process everywhere. And it's an ongoing process. And one of the things that I was thinking about, even when I get to that place that I want to live. Even when I have that condo, there will be the process of making it everything that I want. I will still be curating. Even when I meet that guy, that perfect guy. Perfect. For me, not perfect. There will be a process of working on our relationship. Right. And making it what we want it to be. That's living. I have said this before. It's not I'm here. I'm done. And I don't have any more work to do that is actually not living. Living is continuing to grow, to learn, to expand. So it's an ongoing thing. And if you're living and you're growing and learning and expanding. Towards that vision that you want and towards something that is meaningful for you. It feels life affirming. It does not feel heavy. It does not make you tired. You won't have to end the day on the sofa. Face down in your wine or in a bag of chips are numbing out to the TV. You will feel. Alive and vibrant and excited about the life that you're living and continually creating for yourself. So that was one of the ways that, um, That kind of resonated with me another way. Just popped into my head when I started this podcast. If you listen for a while, you will know that sometimes I have struggled with this podcast and getting it done or wanting to do it, but I've really done some work around it and asked myself why I want to keep doing it. I want to keep doing it to share. Information and tips for. You if you're never going to work with me one-on-one and coach and get this information. Then this is the place where you can get it. So I had to reconcile that. Yes, I do want to keep doing this podcast. So, so this is ongoing. I had to get past that mental block of why am I doing this? Why do I want to do it? It takes a long time. And. Once I got past that once I stopped fighting it and thinking that I didn't want to do it. And I really got clear on my why it's become easier. I find things to talk about like this, like the things show up that I want to share with you. So that's one of the things. The other thing I was thinking about is as a women in midlife, In that forties and fifties. It can start to feel. Stale. Is the word that I want to use. That's the word that's coming to mind where you're just going through the motions and making it through the day. And I want to encourage you and tell you. That this is what the curate your life process and program and coaching. Is all about. It's finding that reason, your reason to keep going. And to keep going with some vibrancy and some spunk, not just to go through the emotions, but to live. Your life. On your terms, doing the things that you want to do, creating the things that you want to create. That's with the curate. Your life process is about. And. Just because we are forties, fifties, sixties, or whatever age you are. Does not mean that we're slowing down or we're stopping. This is a time. I feel like where we are in the place to say what we want. And to make it happen to really step into who you want to be to in to your authentic self. So, this is not the time to put on the brakes. It's not the time to slow down. It's not the time to sit in your rocking chair unless you make rocking chairs and you're testing them out. It's the time to really create eight. Something that you love a life that you love on your terms. Your way. And if you're thinking, I don't know what that is, let me help you figure out what it is that you want. One of the ways that you can do this first you can schedule a consultation with me. That's always an option. But right now I'm doing that simply curated series. And I set that up to help you to help all of us. Close out 2024 with ease and then start 2025 with purpose. So right now we're going through webinars and workshops on time management. Decluttering. Preparing your wardrobe for different events. And then healthy habits. So you have the energy to do the things that you want to do, but the last workshop in the series is going to be. Writing a letter to your future self. That's a perfect way to figure out and to tap into what you truly want for yourself for your life. For your future. To really tap into that. So you can sign up for this simply curated webinars series. Now it's free. We will be doing the letter to your future self towards the end of the series towards the middle of December. And as part of that series, I offer Q and A's where you can come. You can bring your questions, you can get coaching. I help you with. Those little pieces that are going to hold you back. I help you. Work through the fear or address the doubt or the what-ifs. I hope you get past those roadblocks so you can bring your questions. You can bring yourself for coaching. But the most important part of all of this. Is that we keep going. We keep going. Towards creating wives that we are passionate and excited about. So that's what I have for you today. I want you to keep going. I'm going to keep going. I want us to keep living to keep living big, bold, exciting lives. Until next time.
